Information Security Specialist
Position Overview
Safeguarding our organization’s information systems and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. Your expertise in security tools and concepts will be essential in implementing effective security measures and responding to potential threats.
Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze security systems, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring the
implementation of necessary controls to protect information assets.

Utilize security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS),
antivirus software, and encryption technologies, to secure networks and data.

Develop a strong understanding of network security concepts, including VPNs, secure
network design, and prevalent network protocols to enhance the security posture of the
organization.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security
policies and identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices, addressing
any incidents or vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about emerging security threats and trends, continuously adapting security measures to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus software, and encryption technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts, including VPNs, secure network design, and network protocols.
- 3-5 years of experience in information security roles, including security analysis, security administration, or cybersecurity operations.
