We are looking for a Relocation Operations Manager to lead and coordinate relocation processes, ensuring a smooth experience for employees and clients

Position Overview

The Relocation Operations Manager oversees the entire relocation function for DastN, ensuring operational excellence from candidate preparation through final settlement in Germany. This leadership role defines department strategies and workflows, manages relocation sub‑units, builds partnerships with educational institutions and recruitment agencies, liaises with legal and tax advisors, and keeps the organization compliant with German laws and up to date with industry developments. The manager also creates and continually improves project execution policies and coordinates projects with agency partners and independent agents.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Workflow: Define and refine relocation strategies, establish efficient workflows, and ensure policies meet legal and best‑practice standards.
  • Operations Management: Supervise preparation and execution units, monitor service quality and compliance, and handle escalated cases.
  • Partner & External Relations: Build partnerships with universities, institutes, and recruitment firms; coordinate with legal/tax advisors; maintain strong ties with agencies and consultants.
  • Compliance & Industry Updates: Ensure adherence to German legislation (visas, recognition, GDPR), stay updated on legal changes, and share best practices.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and external vendors to ensure smooth client handovers and aligned processes.
  • Performance & Improvement: Conduct team reviews, analyze KPIs, implement efficiency initiatives, manage budgets, and oversee vendor relationships.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; a Master’s degree in Business or International Management is preferred.
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in operations or relocation management, with demonstrable leadership skills .
  • Deep knowledge of relocation, visa and recognition processes and familiarity with German legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection best practices.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with educational institutions, recruitment agencies, legal and tax advisors, and other external partners.
  • Proficiency with ERP or project management tools (Odoo is a strong plus) .
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of relocation, visa, and recognition processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and organizational capabilities, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker who excels at aligning operational activities with business goals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Management or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of relocation, visa, and recognition processes.
  • Multilingual capabilities (German and English required; additional languages an advantage).
  • Ethical and compliant, with a commitment to staying abreast of legal and industry changes.
